Herb Hopwood founded Hopwood Financial Services in 2003, after 11 years with West Financial Services, Inc. Earlier in his career Herb was a financial adviser with Prudential Securities and served as a trust pension officer and real estate loan officer with First American Bank of Virginia.
Herb received his BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, where he lettered in tennis all four years, eventually serving as team captain. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Professionally, Herb is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Washington, D.C., the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and its National Capital Area chapter. He is a past president of the Arlington Rotary Club and is active in St. Matthew's United Methodist Church. Herb lives in Vienna with his wife and is a proud father.
